The village of Kiyomizu was nestled in the heart of the lush, verdant mountains of feudal Japan, where the whisper of the wind carried the scent of cherry blossoms and the sound of distant waterfalls. It was a place of peace and prosperity, but beneath the serene surface, a dark shadow loomed.

The story begins with a young ninja named Ryo, whose life was forever altered by the sudden death of his mentor, the legendary ninja master Kaito. Kaito's last words were a cryptic prophecy: "The shadow of the rising moon will bring about the end of Kiyomizu." Unable to decipher the meaning, Ryo vowed to uncover the truth and protect his village.

As the moon rose higher in the night sky, a series of mysterious events began to unfold. Whispers of an ancient evil stirring in the mountains grew louder, and villagers started to vanish without a trace. Desperate for answers, Ryo sought out the wise old hermit, Sato, who had once been a student of Kaito.

To lift the curse, Ryo must find this ninja, who had been banished from Kiyomizu years ago. As Ryo delved deeper into his investigation, he encountered a group of shadowy figures known as the Kurogane, a secret society that sought to exploit the curse for their own gain. They were led by a former comrade, Akihiro, who had been betrayed by Kaito and now sought revenge. Ryo soon realized that his quest was not only about saving Kiyomizu but also about saving himself from the darkness within.

During his journey, Ryo discovered that Akihiro was not the only one seeking the power of the cursed ninja. A powerful shogun, seeking to consolidate his power, was willing to do anything to harness the curse's power. Ryo found himself caught in a web of intrigue, forced to choose between loyalty to his village and the path of darkness that beckoned him.

The climax of the story arrives when Ryo confronts Akihiro in a fierce battle. As they clash, Ryo is forced to confront his own past and the truth about his mentor's betrayal. In a moment of clarity, Ryo realizes that Kaito had not betrayed Akihiro but had protected the village from a greater threat. With this revelation, Ryo breaks the curse, and the shadowy figures of the Kurogane are banished from Kiyomizu.
